About the role
In this role, you will join and support the growing Finance for Biodiversity (FfB) Foundation Team and contribute to the overall mission of supporting financial institutions in contributing to halting and reversing nature loss this decade.
On a day-to-day basis, you will assist and contribute to the activities of the Impact Assessment, Engagement with Companies, and Target Setting working groups. Additionally, you will support analyses and research for the Finance for Nature Positive programme.
You will work closely with the Technical Director and the Head of Engagement and Data of the FfB Foundation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and organise working group meetings and external webinars and other relevant work areas.
- Provide technical support and project management assistance for our Impact Assessment, Engagement with Companies, and Target Setting and Positive Impact working groups, including developing technical materials, analyses, sector-specific and data research and other deliverables.
- Contribute to the evolving biodiversity impact measurement field and approaches for the financial sector from a finance practitioner’s perspective.
- Conduct research and stay updated on emerging frameworks, methodologies, tools, and datasets related to biodiversity impact measurement for the finance sector.
Skills and experience
We seek candidates with expertise in biodiversity, nature, or environmental sciences and experience in the finance sector. The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a high-performing remote team.
- Structured, results-focused, and efficient, with a self-starting attitude and the ability to work at a fast pace.
- Understanding the interplay between biodiversity and the finance sector, including knowledge of the relationship between businesses and biodiversity.
- Experience with or in the finance sector is highly preferred.
- It is highly advantageous to have prior experience in and familiarity with the biodiversity landscape, including sources, key stakeholders, and associated challenges.
- Currently pursuing or possessing a master’s degree in a relevant environmental field.
- Proficiency in English, with excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Passion for contributing to sustainability and nature recovery.
Contract
- Initial one-year fixed-term contract with the potential for continued employment
- Competitive salary based on your country of residence
- For 32 / 40 hours a week
