Petra Mannessen announced as co-chair of the Impact Assessment Working Group

The Finance for Biodiversity Foundation welcomes Petra Mannessen (Senior Advisor at Rabobank) as the new Impact Assessment working group co-chair. Petra represents the banking sector and brings a wealth of knowledge to these discussions thanks to her experience translating nature-related impacts and dependencies into sustainable financing strategies and practices.

Members of this working group share case studies, developments on data tools, best practices, and lessons learned regarding different biodiversity impact measurement approaches.

In 2024, a subgroup of the Impact Assessment working group developed the FfB Biodiversity Data Platform (version 1.0), designed to support financial institutions in selecting the right data provider and data points for specific biodiversity objectives. To this end, the members made an inventory of ongoing collective engagement initiatives. Members use this information to set up new collective engagement initiatives and invite others to join their specific engagements with companies on biodiversity.

Other working groups of the FfB foundation are:

  • Engagement with Companies, co-chaired by Sonya Likhtman (federated Hermes Limited) and Arthur van Mansvelt (Achmea IM)
  • Public Policy Advocacy, co-chaired by Sonya Likhtman (Federated Hermes Limited) and Emine Isciel (Storebrand AM)
  • Target Setting, co-chaired by Lucian Peppelenbos (Robeco) and Charlotte Apps (Fidelity International)
  • Positive Impact, chaired by Hadrien Gaudin-Hamama (Mirova)
