Where are you living?
I live in Lisbon, Portugal, where my parents’ family are from. I was born in Amsterdam, Netherlands and lived there for 14 years before moving here.
What is your study background?
I have a bachelor’s degree in economics but have yet to work in the field. Fairly quickly, I changed paths to communication, and after a couple of internships in the field, I initiated my post-graduate degree in Strategic Management and Public Relations.
Where were you working before you came here?
This last year, I worked as a freelancer, offering my services to non-profits from various fields. Before that, I worked for 4 years in an academic Think tank associated with my former university, which focused on social policy, democracy and accountability, and public finance. I was responsible for all communication efforts here and had the unique chance to combine both degrees!
What makes you excited about working at the Finance for Biodiversity Foundation?
Above all, I’m thrilled about collaborating with an international team. My strong commitment to working with nonprofits stems from their characteristic passionate teams, making FfB an ideal match based on my experiences.
Additionally, my fondest memories are intertwined with nature. My default state is amidst the mountains, solidifying my enduring connection to preserving and safeguarding the environment.
